Lenovo Laptop Keeps Disconnecting From Wifi

When your laptop keeps dropping out from your wireless network, the first thing you should try is to restart your laptop and router/modem. This helps you reset your network settings and fix your network issues.

Well I stopped be Lazy, Saturday did a factory reset and on my 5300 and all is good now. Reset my wifi / passwords and firewall setups. I did not export the setting as I figured it was upgrading from aimesh 1.0 to 2.0 without a factory reset caused the problem. After main router was solid. I reset my AC66u node. Has been stable for hours and the laptop I was using was taking big win 10 update. So I think I am good.

Hi Dong I have a virgin media hub 3 and have had it for 3 months with no issues. We decided to get 3 wireless cameras fitted to the outside of our home and since we did this our wifi is now terrible. I can be just 2 meters from the hub and my devices loose connection. I tried different channels but no improvement? Is this because of the new cameras and if i were to wire the cameras up to the network would this restore the wifi back to a better state?

you can manually update the firmware from asus and apply it from a pc. IT also depends on how you have the router set up. I have an AXE-11000 and since i have an xfinity wifi router, I have it set up as an access point so it wont hand out ip addresses. I even have it set up as the master to an AI Mesh system with an AX88u and an AC1900 connected to it wirelessly so the main one will update all 3 of them. how it acts is all determined by your setup. Hope this helps.

When you are traveling or far away from your home you might need internet access to your MacBook or PC for work. Therefore, we use our iPhone hotspot for the internet. However, the connectivity speed will be less, and the iPhone hotspot will keep disconnecting.

I just recently got this new wifi router and I have been having this very annoying problem with it. So for example on my phone it will say that I have wifi but I'm getting no connection and on my PlayStation I'm playing a game and it said not getting internet and it kicks me from the game even though it says I have internet, like the connection bar is there and it says I'm getting full connection but I'm not getting internet. Another example is when I'm watching something on youtube it stops the video buffers for a bit then come back and plays it. This happens after every 4-5 minutes, and I know this is because of my new router because with my old wifi Verizon wifi router I had no problems. Somethings that I have tried to do is to change the channel on my router multiple times. I tried channels 6 and 11 which I heard gives you the best results but there was no difference. Something else that I have tried to do is to plug an ethernet cable from my router into play PlayStation yet it still kicks me from games says that I have been disconnected from the internet. Please help me cause this problem is getting too annoying. Thank you in advance. My Verizon router is a Fios-G1100

My laptop (Acer Spin 13) is about 8 months old and has never dropped from a WiFi network like this. Clearly the problem is caused by the interaction of the laptop and my new Orbit access point or router.

Next, I did check and have seen that my laptop has switched once in the past hour from the 5ghz to 2.4ghz. I also noted that after a drop and subsequent restart of the laptop wifi adapter, the laptop connected to a different satellite. (The satellites are roughly equidistant.) I also noted in the attached devices tab that two devices, an xbox and an amazon echo, were shown as connected via wire, whereas they are both wireless.

Finally, I can now recreate the problem. When I run a download speed test from, my wifi drops and I need to restart the adapter. Sometimes it takes a couple of tests, but I will get it to fail.

You are connected to your wifi network on your Windows 10 laptop, but unable to access the internet. If you check your wireless network you see No Internet, secured instead of connected.
